WRT54GL
In the very near future I am going to have to move all my computers to another part of the house. This is going to require a wireless bridge. This is also going to be the reason I am finally going to get around to installing a 3rd party firmware on a linksys router. I just ordered a linksys WRT54GL, and when it arrives I am going to install DD-WRT v23 on it. I was not looking forward to the computer room move, but now I am. I am already thinking about replacing my current router, (a crippled WRT54G v 5.0) which will become my primary router with the new WRT54GL acting as the client bridge, with a WRT54GL as well. I will hold off on that until I get the computers moved upstairs and the wireless bridge up and running. The good thing about linksys router replacements, is they all look the same to the wife. New toys are invisable if they look identical to the old ones. Maybe I shouldn't have said that:-) It's not like she doesn't know though, I spent 10 minutes telling her what I was going to do, and she didn't understand a word of ti.
